Samsung Securities, Samsung SDS and Samsung Card, 6,128won to acquire a stake in Dunamu of 4%

Samsung Securities, Samsung SDS and Samsung Card acquired 5on 28 existing shares in Dunamu, representing 4%, for a total of 6,128won. There are three acquiring entities, with each company jointly acquiring the stake. The transaction amount and stake ratio are details disclosed by the companies.

The existing shares purchased belonged to Kakao Ventures and other previous shareholders. According to reports, Kakao sold all of its stake in Dunamu. The scale and recipients of the sale were confirmed through this transaction.

With this acquisition, Samsung affiliates will newly join the list of Dunamu's major shareholders. Hana Bank and Hanwha Investment & Securities had previously been listed as major shareholders of Dunamu. Several financial companies are now among its major shareholders.

Samsung Securities said it would expand cooperation on digital asset businesses with SDS and Samsung Card. The companies officially mentioned collaboration related to virtual asset businesses. The specific scope and timing of the cooperation will be disclosed at a later date.

Dunamu plans to put an agenda item on changes to the composition of its board of directors before an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting. The company is also showing signs of expanding its overseas businesses, including in the United States and Southeast Asia. The results of the extraordinary shareholders’ meeting and any additional disclosures can be confirmed through future disclosures.
