Doosan SK Siltron 100% push, Homeplus 67 stores at the limit

Doosan Group has effectively finalized its acquisition of SK Siltron. SK Siltron is a semiconductor wafer company, described as a globally ranked 3 company. The contract is scheduled to be signed next week.

The deal also includes SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won’s personally held stake. Doosan Group is moving to secure a 100% stake in SK Siltron by the end of the year. No specific transaction value was provided.

Homeplus requested emergency operating funds from Meritz. The company said Meritz was effectively turning a blind eye to providing operating-fund support. Homeplus said its rehabilitation process had reached a critical juncture.
