The overall improvement in results among the companies included in the tally came alongside expanding profits in the semiconductor industry. With Samsung Electronics and SK hynix accounting for a large share, semiconductors have taken on a greater role in the results of major South Korean conglomerates. Some analysts also forecast that Samsung Electronics’ 2026year 2quarter operating profit would rise by a greater amount.
