KakaoBank announces equity investment in Mongolia’s M Bank and AI cooperation (323410)

KakaoBank 7 month 10 day, at the Korea–Mongolia Business Forum held in Mongolia, announced that it would pursue a strategic equity investment in Mongolia’s M Bank and AI-based financial cooperation. In the announcement, KakaoBank introduced digital financial innovation cases and its cooperation plans.

In its announcement, KakaoBank said it planned to jointly develop financial products and services using AI through cooperation with M Bank. It said the specific equity stake and investment amount would be disclosed separately.

Woori Financial Group 7 month 9 day, announced that it had been selected as the operating institution for the government project “K-New Deal Academy” and would operate an IT education program for young people. It said the curriculum would be designed around practical IT skills.

KB Financial said on the same day that, together with Hope Institute, it would launch a program to identify young social innovators and invest 2hundred million won in operating the program. The company said the initiative would include support for projects aimed at solving social problems.

Doosan Enerbility said it would make a full-scale push into the power-generator diagnostics market based on the results of its Czech nuclear power-related business in 7month 6day. The company said it was considering expanding related businesses, including diagnostic solutions and maintenance services.

The announcements respectively communicated each company's strategy execution in areas such as overseas expansion, talent development, and the expansion of nuclear power and technology businesses.
