Korea Zinc conducts third employee volunteer activity at Suyeon Rehabilitation Center in Ulsan

Korea Zinc announced that employees of its Onsan Smelter conducted an environmental cleanup volunteer activity at Suyeon Rehabilitation Center, located in Ulju County, Ulsan Metropolitan City, on 7 month 8 on 7 month 10. From an investor’s perspective, this confirms that the company’s community support activities are continuing.

Suyeon Rehabilitation Center is a facility that supports childcare and rehabilitation treatment for children with severe disabilities. This volunteer activity was the third conducted this year.

The employees carried out environmental cleanup activities mainly in the shared spaces and living rooms on floors 1 and 2 of Suyeon Rehabilitation Center, and separately organized the rest area.

Onsan Smelter said that, in addition to environmental cleanup activities, it continues to provide various forms of support needed to operate the facility. The company plans to maintain its cooperative relationship with local welfare facilities through regular quarterly volunteer activities and customized support.

Last year, 3 month, it signed an agreement with Ulsan City on the '1company 1facility Warmth-Sharing public-private joint volunteer partnership for welfare facilities for people with disabilities' and has continued volunteer activities involving employees every quarter since then.

This year, 1 month, new university graduates visited Suyeon Rehabilitation Center as part of their introductory training program to conduct environmental cleanup and deliver supplies, and in 3 month, they took part in volunteer activities with Ulsan City officials.

Employees, including Jeon Hyeong-ryeol, secretary-general of Korea Zinc's labor union, voluntarily participated in this volunteer activity.

The company said it plans to continue regular volunteer activities and customized support for each facility.
