At the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment, Bae Yeon-jin was appointed head of the Seoul Metropolitan Air Quality Office through a promotion to the senior civil service. The head of the Seoul Metropolitan Air Quality Office is responsible for air quality management in the Seoul metropolitan area and related administrative duties.

At the same ministry, Lee Juchang was assigned as director of the Water Environment Policy Division in the Water Environment Policy Bureau through a reassignment at the director level. The director of the Water Environment Policy Division is in charge of water environment policy, including river and pollution management.
