CME Group lists the SI contract on COMEX. The standard contract covers 5,000 troy ounces of silver and requires a minimum fineness of 999 for deliverable metal. The displayed value represents a futures contract price, not a retail bar, coin, jewelry item, or dealer buyback quote.
The page keeps the current delayed quote separate from daily closing history. This prevents an intraday futures value from being described as a completed daily close. Purity conversions estimate metal content only and exclude fabrication and trading costs.
