SK hynix completed its ADR issuance alongside its Nasdaq listing in the United States and raised about 265hundred million dollars (about 40trillion won). With the offering process finished, the proceeds will be deposited into SK hynix’s account on the 14day.

The company said it plans to use the funds mainly for domestic investment, including the Yongin semiconductor cluster, the Cheongju P&T7 advanced packaging plant, and the introduction of extreme ultraviolet, or EUV, lithography equipment.

A SK hynix official said, "The ADR funds will be used for the investments disclosed in the securities registration statement, and we plan to convert part of them into won and execute the spending."

Considering the plan to deploy the proceeds domestically, a sizable amount of dollars may be exchanged into won. Depending on the amount of dollars flowing into the foreign exchange market, market liquidity could be affected.

However, the scale of the currency exchange and the specific schedule for deployment have not yet been disclosed. The company added that it will carry out the deployment in line with the disclosed investment items.

This fundraising will be recorded as a case that simultaneously brings in SK hynix's overseas capital raising and domestic facility investment execution.
